To achieve the optimal sound you’ll need giant foam blocks and a mic. The foam should be nestled around your kick drum to create a passage of hollow space that prevents cone filtering and provides isolation to avoid bleed. Then, correct placement of the mic on the floor will resonate a smooth bass sound.
