Gear We Love: Auralex MoPAD Monitor Isolation Pads

Did you know that your monitors are the most critical components in your studio?  The sound can change greatly depending on what surface the monitors are placed on.  So our friends at Auralex have the solution.  It’s by no means a new product but one we love none the less.

The MoPad is designed to reduce resonance between your speaker and the surface it’s placed on.  A simple and innovative design gives you flexibility in the positioning allowing you you tilt the monitors anywhere from -8, -4, 0, +4 and +8.  They are also designed so it doesn’t matter if you lay your monitor on it’s side or vertically and can hold up to 100 lbs.  Professionals like Steve Marcantonio, Glenn Rosenstein and Russ Long all use the MoPads.
