Well we FINALLY got what we asked for…warmer weather BUT what we didn’t ask for was a week of RAIN! No worries. “You can’t keep a good man down!” There is SOOOO much going on this week I can’t possibly know how to fit it all in but if you are looking to hear some great live music this week you will have no shortage of options. Here are a few recommendations for some fun things to do around Nashville March 13-19….

These first two are some of my favorites!

Catfish and the Bottlemen – March 14

catfish_category“Catfish and The Bottlemen are a rock and roll band. Four lads with songs that are loud, explosive, sexy and young – and full of guitars. Songs about regular stuff, everyday tales of love and lust. What happens when the lights go down. All delivered with a bright-eyed charm which is all their own. Relentless touring has honed an explosive live performance which belongs on a big stage. Catfish and The Bottlemen are going places and want to take you with them…”

3/17 An Evening with Seth Avett and Jessica Lea MayfieldSeth-Avett-Jessica-Lea-Mayfield-e1420669001133

An Evening with Seth Avett and Jessica Lea Mayfield will be at James K. Polk Theater in Nashville, TN – March 17, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. Both Avett and Mayfield are ardent fans of Elliott Smith and his music, and with Mayfield in the opening slot of previous Avett Brothers concert dates, the two have performed Smith songs live together before. For this upcoming tour, the duo will be joined by bassist Paul Defiglia (The Avett Brothers). In addition to performing Smith songs from their album, Avett and Mayfield will likely sprinkle some solo selections into the set.
