Successful Audio Engineers: DHI Graduate Spotlight

Successful audio engineers - Spencer and Cebron Hansen
Recording in Seattle at Biosonic Recording

There’s more than meets the eye when fans of music production become successful audio engineers. The combination of knowledge, training, people skills, hard work, and being in the right place at the right time are all things that align for successful audio engineers and music producers. This month, our DHI Graduate Spotlight features the Hansen brothers: Cebron and Spencer Hansen. These two have turned their passion for recording into a family affair with the construction of their own recording studio in Seattle, WA.

“We achieved great results by learning the proper techniques at DHI”

“…After about five years of studying music and audio engineering in Music City (Nashville, TN), we have brought the skills that we honed and developed in that creatively saturated environment to the Pacific Northwest. Being immersed in that environment gave us genuine insight of the prominence of the ever increasing ‘home studio’.”

The dynamic duo has worked with Mitch Malloy (VanHalen, Solo Artist), Reed Ruddy (Macklemore, Halo 3 soundtrack), and Martin Feveyear (Brandi Carlile, Kings of Leon) since their time at Dark Horse Institute. You can check out great photos of their recording studio and their full artist roster on their Biosonic Recording website.
