Admissions
Request information from our Admissions Team and someone will contact you to set up a time for a virtual information session so that we can determine if Dark Horse Institute is a good fit for you, and if you are a good fit for us.
If we feel you’re the right candidate and you are recommended for acceptance into our program, we will send you the link to our online application. Once you have submitted your application and the application fee of $250 has been received, you will reserve a seat in the next available class, and you will work together with your admissions representative to complete all of the necessary admissions requirements before your first day of class.
Enrollment Procedures & Admissions Policy
To be considered for enrollment, you must have a virtual information session, fill out our admission application, and submit your app fee. We will need a photocopy of your driver’s license for your student file. Due to the limited amount of seats available, there will be no enrollment allowed after the enrollment deadline has passed.
Transfer of Credits
In the U.S. higher education system, transferability of credits are determined by the receiving institution, taking into account such factors as course content, grades, accreditation and licensing. The mission of Dark Horse Institute is to help you to prepare for entry-level employment in your chosen field of study. The value of programs like those offered by Dark Horse is their deliberate focus on marketable skills. Although the credits earned are not intended as a stepping-stone for transfer to another institution, some colleges have made arrangements with Dark Horse Institute to include our program to broaden their curriculum. Please read our Transferability of Credits statement.
Credits earned at Dark Horse Institute may not transfer to another educational institution. Credits earned at another educational institution may not be accepted by Dark Horse Institute. You should obtain confirmation that Dark Horse Institute will accept any credits you have earned at another educational institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. You should also contact any educational institutions that you may want to transfer credits earned at Dark Horse Institute to determine if such institutions will accept credits earned at Dark Horse Institute prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement. The ability to transfer credits from Dark Horse Institute to another educational institution may be very limited. Your credits may not transfer and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at Dark Horse Institute if you enroll in another educational institution.
You should never assume that credits will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended and you are advised to make certain that you know the transfer of credit policy of Dark Horse Institute and of any other educational institutions you may in the future want to transfer the credits earned at Dark Horse Institute before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement.
Qualifications
A valid high school diploma or GED is required to attend any Dark Horse Institute program.
Finance Options
During the Admissions process we will discuss all of the financing options we have available and help you find a program that is affordable based on your individual situation. Your $250 application fee is due the day you apply and your first payment will be due the first day of class.
Housing
Please contact a member of our Admissions Team to get a detailed list of our housing partners. Special discounted rates are available to DHI students. Let us help you find a housing option that is within your budget and close enough to campus to allow you to take advantage of all DHI has to offer.
